The 1075 series press fit switch is a
3
/
8” diameter magnetic
contact with wire leads. Use no glue or screws to mount; small
ribs on the housing hold the contact in place. Heavy-duty housing
resists crushing from swelling wood. An extra wide gap version is
available in the 1065W for applications that may be prone to false
alarms cause by the loose fitting doors. Use indoors and outdoors
for an attractive recessed installation.
For recessed applications, either indoor or outdoor. Wider gap
distances help prevent false alarms caused by loose-fitting doors.
Also useful in protecting china cabinets or closets, double-hung
windows, and aluminum windows.
The 1075 series contact measures 1.31” L x .38” diameter (3.33cm
x 0.95cm). The 1065W contact measures 1.50” L x .38” diameter
(3.81cm x 0.95cm). The contact and magnet housings are made of
flame-retardant ABS plastic. The housing has three ribs that
press-fit against the inside of a .38” diameter mounting hole. The
reed switch is protected and held in place by a polyurethane
potting material.
