Wifi Connectivity * Post-Launch Feature
Interlink-U ID comes equipped with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi networks. The key benefit of this feature
is that the device can be securely connected to your wireless network. Often when a user is located indoors
(warehouses, or multi-storey buildings), it can be impossible for cellular connection to reach their device.
Once a device has been connected to your Wi-Fi access point (subject to a working internet connection) it
will be able to leverage that devices active network connection to facilitate raising of all alerts (audio call/,
location information, and other device information) to our ARC/Monitoring Center team in the event of an
emergency.
You can only connect to Wireless Access Points which have either:
- Been configured on your Insights account to work with your device
- Or, have been connected to using the WPS feature which most modern Wi-Fi routers come
equipped with.
