ADE - Adobe Digital Editions
Most of the ebooks on CoolerBOOKS are supplied in
the Adobe Digital Editions [ADE] format. We
believe ADE to be one of the better ebook formats
allowing you to manage, retain, share and easily
download your ebooks.
ADE Installation
Rather like iTunes you will need to download the
ADE software onto your computer, this software is
available for Windows and Mac computers.
! If you do not have one already, you will need
an Adobe ID, which is obtained by registering
with Adobe
www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership
! Once you have your Adobe ID, head to
www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions and
begin the process for downloading the ADE
software. Follow the steps to conclusion.
When you have downloaded ADE to your computer,
it’s a good idea to authorize your COOL-ER straight
away.
Authorizing your COOL-ER with ADE
Connect your COOL-ER to
your computer using your
USB cable.
The ADE Authorize Device
window will pop up.
On rare occasions where the pop up does not
happen automatically, please try pressing Ctrl –
Shift – E to force the pop up.
Click on Authorize Device.
ADE will now recognize your COOL-ER, and will
list it within the “Bookshelves” area of the ADE
window. Look out for the ‘COOLER’ name and
icon.
To move books on to the COOL-ER simply drag
and drop them to the COOL-ER icon. You can
now proceed with downloading DRM documents
from CoolerBOOKS.
Each time you subsequently connect your COOL-
ER to your computer, you’ll see ‘COOLER’ appear
on the bottom of your bookshelf view.
