Starting to read
Selecting the start page
By default your ebook will open at the last page
you had open. You can select a different page
to start from as follows:
By page number
After opening the book file, bring up the
ereading menu by pressing the menu button (F)
or the central scroll wheel button.
Use the arrows to select ‘Go to page’
! To start reading from the beginning select
‘First Page’
! To go to the end of the book select ‘Last
Page’
! To specify the page to start at, select
‘Page’
o ‘Go to page’ menu will be
displayed.
o Select the page number by
highlighting the digits of the
number
o For example, to select page 260,
use the arrows to move the
pointer under the ‘2’ and press
the control wheel centre button.
The number 2 will show in the
bottom line of the menu after
PAGE.
o Move the pointer to under the ‘6’
and press the centre button. The
number 26 will show on the
bottom line of the menu.
o Move the pointer to under the ‘0’
and press the centre button. The
number 260 will show on the
bottom line of the display.
o Move the pointer to under the
‘OK’ and press the centre button.
Your COOL-ER will display page
260 of the ebook.
By chapter
After opening the book file, bring up the
ereading menu by pressing the menu button (F).
! Use the arrows to select ‘Table of
Contents’
o The ‘Table of Contents’ menu will
be displayed.
o Click on the book title – a list of
chapters will be shown, 10
chapters per page.
o Navigate to the required chapter.
To move quickly to the
next/previous page use the
right/left arrows. To move up and
down the page use the up/down
arrows.
o Click on the required chapter
number and your COOL-ER will
display the start of the required
chapter.
By bookmark
After opening the book file, bring up the
ereading menu by pressing the menu button (F).
! Use the arrows to select ‘Bookmark’
o The ‘Bookmark’ menu will be
displayed.
o If a bookmark has been set, select
‘Bookmark List’ from the menu.
o A list of available bookmarks will
be shown.
o Select the required bookmark.
Your COOL-ER will open the ebook
at the required bookmarked page.
