FEATURES
RETRIEVING MESSAGES
When you receive new text and voice mail messages, the Message Indica-
tor lamp flashes (if enabled) and the Message icon appears in the sys-
tem tray. New e-mail, fax, or instant messages do not activate the Message
Indicator lamp or change the Message icon status.
To retrieve messages from the Message view:
1. Click .
2. Select a message to retrieve (do one of the following):
Double-tap the entry on the
line to listen to the voice mail message (see
page 76).
Double-tap the entry on the line to view the text message, and then click
to display the Outbound Communication dialog box (see page 63).
(If more than one match is found for the contact name, a list of all matches
appears. If no match is found, an error message appears.)
Double-tap the entry on the
line to view the subject line of the message.
To view or reply to a text message from the endpoint interface:
1. While the handset is on-hook, tap VIEW MESSAGE or . Then lift the handset
if desired.
2. Tap VIEW TEXT to view the message. If more than one message is waiting, tap
>>/ << or to scroll through the messages.
3. Do one of the following:
Tap
REPLY to call the party that left the message.
Tap
DELETE to delete the message.
To listen to a voice mail message from the endpoint interface:
1. Tap or VIEW MESSAGE to connect to your mailbox.
2. If there is more than one message, tap >>/<< or to scroll through the
messages.
3. Tap LISTEN or to connect to your mailbox, enter your password (if
prompted

), and then tap .
* You can enable auto logon to voice mail using Inter-Tel Personal Communicator for Web (see page 76).
