It contains a ribbon along the top of the screen. Use the ribbon to navigate through the application and open application forms. The example below shows the Ribbon tabs; they include: Manage, Local Site Settings, Reports, Import, Tools, Portable, and Help.

When you open other application forms, they also appear in the Work Area of the screen as tabbed windows. To move between the tabbed areas, click between them. When you want to close a tabbed window, click on it to bring it to the front and click the Windows Close button found in the bottom right corner of the tabbed window.

Query boxes do not have form buttons or data fields, instead, they contain command responses such as OK and Cancel; or Yes and No. • When instructed to click Yes to continue, click the Yes button to continue.

Note: Portable data terminals are not included with the Inventory software and must be purchased separately. IntelliTrack DMS Inventory functions handle everything from routine physical inventories to perpetual inventory management.

(Your software serial number is found on your product packaging.) IntelliTrack DMS contains a license service to track your software’s registration and activation status. Setting Up a Windows Mobile Partnership Before you can sync with your device, you must set up a partnership between your device and your PC. Connect your handheld device to your PC by means of a cradle or cable connection; the Windows Mobile Device Center software starts up automatically.

Use IntelliTrack DMS Inventory with the sample database to become familiar with the application. After you have registered your product and are ready to use Inventory to track and manage your circulating inventory, PURGE the sample data from the system via the Purge options. For more information, please see “Purging Data” on page 47.

If security is enabled and a password is required, enter your Password in the Password field and then click the Close button. The application opens. Using the Security Ribbon Options The Security ribbon options in the Manage tab include Logout, Change Password (if security is enabled), and Quit.

You are able to change your password by selecting the Change Password option. When you select this option, the Change Password form appears. Enter your current password in the Old Password field. Next, enter your new password in the New Password field and then confirm it in the Verify field.

Using the Dashboard After you log into the application, the Dashboard appears. It is the default window and always remains open. The Dashboard automatically displays information about your inventory, depending on the queries that you select.

(If the View button is disabled for the query that you select, then that particular query is not available for onscreen preview.) To print a query to your default printer, select it from the dashboard’s query list and then click the Print button.
