DDNS
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) provides you at least one IP address
to use when connecting to the Internet. The address you as assigned may
be static, meaning it never changes, or more than likely dynamic,
meaning its likely to change periodically. How often it changes depends
on your ISP. A dynamic IP address complicates remote access since you
may not know your current WAN IP address when you want to access
your network over the Internet. DDNS provides a simple, and in most
cases free, solution.
