TX 8000
Transmissor universal
Congratulations, you have just purchased a product
with Intelbras quality and security.
The TX 8000 universal transmitter has been
developed to facilitate wired sensor installations
in your everyday life as it enables a wired sensor
to communicate wirelessly with the AMT 8000
alarm center. An easy to install product, it has a
low power consumption circuit, providing longer
battery life. It also has a tamper key for violation
protection, making your environment even safer, a
key for registration and LED indicating the status.
Compatible with all Intelbras wired sensors and
most wired sensors available in the market. Read
carefully the product introductory information for
proper use of the TX 8000 universal transmitter.
1. Care and security
It is recommended that the installation be
carried out by specialized technicians certied
through the Intelbras courses given by ITEC.
To learn more about it, access the training
portal at www.treinamentos.intelbras.com.
br. In the QR code below, download the
sensors booklet and check out our tips that
will make your installation easier.
» Follow all instructions in the manual for
product assembly and installation.
» Avoid installing the transmitter directly under
metallic surfaces so that there are changes in
their characteristics of operation.
» Conrm that the installation site is stable and
appropriate.
» This product is intended for indoor environments.
The TX 8000 universal transmitter is for use only
with normally closed contact (NC) sensors.
» The wireless communication technology,
when exposed to high power radiation
environments, can suffer interference and
have its performance impaired, for example:
locations near TV towers, AM/FM radio station,
amateur radio station, etc.
» Use a soft cloth to clean the product.
» For your safety, test the product and systems at least
once a week. This is necessary due to changing
environmental conditions and low battery.
» Do not expose the universal transmitter directly
to sunlight, rain and moisture.
» Take all necessary precautions for safety and
protection of your property.

5. Installation
Open the TX 8000 as follows.
With a screwdriver, press the snap lock between
the base and the cover as shown below.
After opening, insert the CR2450 battery and register
the TX 8000 code in the AMT 8000 alarm center as
follows:
Press the sync key on the AMT 8000 alarm center (the
blue LED will be on) then press the sync key on the
TX 8000, observing if the LED located on the front of
it will ash green, indicating the correct registration.
If the LED ashes red, the registration has not been
performed correctly and the procedure must be
repeated.
Note: after pressing the synchronization key of the
alarm center, the blue LED indicating the center unit
will remain on for approximately 3 minutes after
the last registration made, after this time it will turn
off automatically and it will not be possible to make
new registrations until the synchronization key is
pressed again. If no device is registered, the LED
indicating the center unit will go off automatically
after 3 minutes.
The sensors will be addressed according to the
sequence performed, for example: the rst sensor
will be registered in zone 1, the second sensor in
zone 2, the third sensor in zone 3 and so on.
To register other sensors through keyboard
commands and more information, please check the
complete manual of the AMT 8000 center.
If you want to cancel the registration of the device
just press and hold the TX 8000 synchronism
key for approximately 10 seconds, watching the
indicator LED until it ashes twice in red.
6. Identifying the best
place for installation
The TX 8000 universal transmitter has
communication signal level indications with the
AMT 8000 center unit, this will help you choose
the best installation location. Follow the procedure:
1. Once properly registered, take the TX 8000 to
the environment you wish to protect;
2. Check the position where the transmitter will
be installed;
3. Once selected, position the TX 8000 in the
exact location and perform a transmission;
4. Observe the color that the LED will light up and
check in the following table if the sensor can
be installed in this location;
LED Status Communication level
Green
Excellent signal level
(recommended installation site)
Orange
Regular signal level
(location not recommended for
installation, communication failure
may occur)
Red
No communication (do not install
on site)
5. If the signal level is not excellent, reposition
the TX 8000 and perform the procedure again.
7. Connection between
TX 8000 and wired sensor
Use an external source to power the wired sensor,
then connect the alarm output cable (normally closed
(NC)) from the wired sensor to the CN1 terminal of
the TX 8000 universal transmitter, as shown in the
following gure:
Wired sensor
CN1
Alarm – +
TX 8000

Maximum distance
of 1 meter
The maximum recommended wiring distance for
the installation between the TX 8000 and the
sensor to it connected is 1 meter.
Note: the ohmic resistance of the cable is very low
for this distance, and a cable can be used of your
preference.
After registering the TX 8000, choose the location
where it will be installed. Use double-sided tape or
screws to x it. If you choose the option as double-
sided tape, clean the surface that will be in direct
contact with the tape and then stick it on the back
cover. If you use screws, simply open the TX 8000
and the location of the screw will be indicated on the
base of the product, as shown in the gure below.
