Next to the extension board, there are various plastic adapters to help the distribution of the wiring inside the PABX. Fasten the extension board´s scews which are also important for the ground protection.
if you alter the physical number of the extension, write down the new numbering plan using the diagram :
4.2.4 Installation Diagram 1. Trunk wiring always connected when there is a board. nd 2. Activation jumper of 2 trunk. Keep it opened if there is no line installed. 3. Fixation Screw and ground protection for trunk board. Keep it always fasten. st 4. Activation jumper of 1 trunk . Keep it opened if there is no line installed.
5. direct connection wiring in case of power failure from trunk 1 and 2 to extensions st 2º and 3º of 1 board respectivaly. Keep them always connected. 6. Connector for pager board. 7. Connector for parallel port cable. 8. Connector for external music input and serial port out. 9. Connector for operator consol. 10. Jumper for internal or external music selection. 11. hole for wall mounting. 12. Jumper for selection/disselection of operator consol. 13. Connector for external connection 1 and 2. 14.
4.2.5 Installating the Lines Next to the lines connectors, there are various plastic fixers to help distributing the wiring inside the PABX. The connections between the lines and the trunk boards is done using an internal wiring. Whenever the trunk board is installed, the wiring should be connected to CN2 . If the trunk board is installed without the line, the access to the trunk should be disabled using jumper J1, to avoid having the PABX accessing the trunk without a telephone line.
Observation : - before installing the line check if it has decadic or MF signaling. 4.2.6 Power Installation The PABX can operate in 110/127 Vac or 220 Vac. Open the PABX and use the voltage key selector to select the appropriate voltage. All PABX with a capacity higher than 6 lines require a UPS with a minimum power output of 50 VA and 60 Hz.
In places where the power network is very unstable a 100 VA UPS with galvanic shield should be installed before the UPS . Important: - Power surge protectors should be installed in the power supply input to protect the equipment.
4.2.7 Grounding The best way to protect your PABX is to install a BUZ bar . The power neutral, the PABX case, the power supply protection, the trunk and extension protection and the ground wire of any other equipment connected to the PABX as per the below figure. If the bar is not available, all equipment grounding should be interconnected to protect your equipment, see figure B . Observation : grounding max resistance = 5 Ω.
4.2.8 Protecting the lines and extensions The trunk and extension boards have protection from voltage fluctuations but this protection cannot be used as primary protection. You must set a primary protection outside the PABX box As placas de ramais e troncos (juntores) possuem supressores de transientes de tensão. Fot the extensions, a (10R-5W) wire resistance and a polyswitch nust be installed between the varistor in the board and the external gas. The trunk line does not require such setup.
4.2.9 Background music selection The PABX offers the possibility to have internal or external background music (radio, CD Player, sound system, etc.). To install : - Connect the wires of the external music source to MUSA and MUSB of CN29 of the main board ; - Select the position MUS.EXT in J3 of the main board. Important: - The music source must have na impedence of 4 Ω or 8 Ω. The volume control can be achieved from either the music source or the TRIMPOT TP3 of the main board.
The PABX can be connected to a serial printer as shown below : - default RS 232; - 8 bits per character; - no parity; - 2 stop bits; - 4800 BAUDS. Installing parallel printer : install the call logging kit to CN34 of the main board as per the figure : 4.2.11 Programming the PABX via PC You can program your PABX via PC using intelbras PABX software programmer, the software is supplied with your PABX manual or canbe downloaded from our site www.intelbras.com.
4.3 INSTALLING THE ACCESSORIES 4.3.1 Console OP 1610 The OP 1610 is supplied with connection and jack and installation socket. Observation: - Do not strip of the wires; - use 0,4 mm2 wires - the maximum distance is 50 m. Important: - before insatalling your Ti, make sure that the PABX is disconnected. To install : - connect the installation socket to CN27 as per the figure; - put jumper J4 in position console; - connect the cord to the console jack and the wall socket and then turn the PABX on.
4.3.2 Key Systems TI 630i/TI 730i and TI 530 Any extension can be set with a key system and no special configuration is required PABX Maximum Key System Capacity: Corp 16000 Key system capacity 20 Terminal 00...20 The connection uses 4 wires, 2 (RA/RB) for audio and 2 (TXTI/GNDTI) for data. The data wire is connected to the W IRE WRAP next to the connector used for the lines. The wiring for TXTI and GND must be set seperately from the audio wiring.
4.3.3 Interface for doorphone The IP 700 is used to connect the PABX to up to two doorphones. To install : - Connect the interface of 1st doorphone to CN32 and the second to CN33. - configure the interface as per your doorphone model; - make sure that jumper J1 of the main board is in position 2-3 to use doophone 1 and J2 in position 2-3 for doorphone 2. if no doorphone is used, the jumper must remain in position 1-2 ( check the installation diagram).
You must follow the steps in 3.1 for proper configuration of your PI 100 4.3.5 Interface for auto-activation ITA 700 You can automatically command from any extension an external device such as bell, alarm, light, etc. You can connect up to 2 interfaces for external activation. See items 1.5.4 and 3.7. To install : - First interface must be connected to CN30 and the second to CN31: 4.3.5.
Up to two interfaces per PABX with independant commands can be installed. For proper operation of the emergency call, you should follow the steps in item 3.5. To install : - Connect the first interface to CN30 (emergency call 1) and the second interface to CN31. The key contacts, usually opened, must be connected to SalmA and SalmB of the interface for auto-activation ITA 700. 4.3.
4.3.7 Station Call Billing Through a serial port, you can use Intelbras billing software to bill and monitor all outgoing an incoming calls. Para instalar: - First install intelbras programming software - Install the billing software; - Connect the serial port of the PC to CN29 as follows : CN29 of PABX TXDA RXDA GND 4.3.7.
Note : - You must program the access category of the extension to the paging system; - Program the numbering plan – you must set the physical extension07 as pager. To install : - Connect the pager board to CN25 as per the figure : 4.3.9 Caller ID (IDA) To install: - Caller ID service must be activated by your local telephone service provider.
Jumper open Jumper position 1-2 Jumper position 2-3 Long line (high sensibility) Medium lines Short lines (low sinsibility) Adjust the position of J3A/B and J4A/B of the trunk board for “IDA” (see installing the lines). Incoming call will be shown as follows: Line E04 E01 Extens 28 22 Number 0482472600 2472600 Time Duration 13:15:10 00:12:30 13:19:30 00:01:20 Date 10/01/97 10/01/97 Observation: - Some old public switches do not sent the caller identification, in this case number such as 0111111...
Important: - You should also check the numbering plan and the access category to voice mail in this manual as well as divert if busy and divert if no answer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECORDING MESSAGES For Disa P/T 2 Digital channels / Disa T 2 Digital channels The electronic attendant (DISA) will allow you to greet your caller and introduce your company and direct the incoming call to a preprogrammed group or extension for fast response. The electronic attendant service is different from putting a call on hold while playing a music when the call is being transfered or the line is busy. Electronic call answer through DISA is available with all INTELBRAS line of PABX.
FACTORY DEFAULT MESSAGES You have the option of recording and using your own messages with your PABX. It is necessary to have the messages recorded and burnt on a CD in a Wave format, mono, 16 bits and not exceeding the time limit of the file. The files can be sent to us to have them stored in the PABX memory during production time).
