Working with the notebook
Removing and in stalling the battery
Only use batteries approved by Fujitsu for your notebook.
Never use force when ¿tting or removing a battery.
Make sure that no foreign bodies get into the battery connection s.
Never store a battery for lon g periods in the discharged state. This
can make it impossible to recharge.
Removing a battery

Remove the power plug fr
om the power outlet!
Ź If the notebook is conne cted to a USB Type-C

dock, release the US B cable

) t o disconnect the connection.
You can rep lace the device’s battery without ha ving to sw itch the device off
¿rst. The device has a built-in bridge batte ry for this purpose. If the battery is
unlocked while the device is in operating mode, Sleep Mode will automatically
be activated. Before removing the battery, please check the battery replacement
status indicator (see "
Status indicators", Pa ge 24).
Ź Close the LCD screen.
Ź Remove all the c
ables from the device.
Ź Turn the device over and place it on a stable, Àat and clean surface. If necessary, lay an
anti-slip cloth on this surface to prevent the device from being scratched.

Ź Slide the Battery Lock slider switch in the direction of the arrow (1) and hold it in place.
