Num Lock indicator
IndicatorNumLock
The indica tor is illuminated: The
Num
key has been pressed. The virtual number
keys have been switched on. You can output the characters indicated on the upper
right of the keys.
Caps Lock indicator

The indicator is illuminated: The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the
characters yo u type will appear in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the
character printed on the upper left of the key will appear when that key is pressed.

Battery replacement i
ndicator
If the battery is un lo
cked for battery re placement, t he battery replacement indicator
will show whether th
e device is ready for battery replacement (see "
Removing a
battery", Page 50). Yo
u can replace the device’s b attery without having to switch
the device off ¿rst.
The device has a built-in bridge battery for this purpose. If
the battery is unlo
cked while t he device is in operating mode, Sleep Mode will
automatically be a
ctivated.
The indicator lig
ht is green: The device is ready for battery replacement.
Replace th e battery.
The indicator i
s Àashing orange: The device is ready for battery replacement
but the battery
charging level of the bridge battery is low.
Replace the battery quickly.
Caution:Ifth
e battery replacem ent ta kes too long, the device m ay switch itself
off. Any data n
ot saved may be lost.
The indicator light is orange: The device is not yet re ady for b attery replacement
as Sleep Mode has not yet been activated.
Wait until th
e indica tor lights up green.
There is a possibility of not shifting to sleep mode even if the ba ttery lock is
released when the system is at high load.
Caution:I
f the battery is replaced now, the device ma y switch itse lf off. Any
data not s
aved may be lost.
The indicator lights up red : The device is not ready for battery re placement.
Lock the b
attery again. Connect the device to the AC adapter to charge the
bridge b
attery.
After a short ch arging time, the battery replacement ca n be attempted again.
Cautio
n: If the battery is replaced now, the device may switch itself off. Any
data no
t saved may be lost.

Connect the device to the A C adapter.
