ENERGY STAR Compliance
Your Fujitsu system is an ENER GY STAR quali¿ed mobile PC. By
choosing a compu ter with the latest ene rgy-saving technology, yo u’re
helping to preserve our environment for future generations. EN ERG Y
STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,
U.S. Department of Energy, Natural Resources Canada, and other
governments around t he world helping us save money while protecting
the environment through energy ef¿cient products and practices. With
energy costs a nd global warming top-of-mind fo r consumers, Fujitsu is
committed to offering solutions that help consumers conserve energy
and improve the quality of our environment.
Sleep mode:
You will notice that your computer is initially set so that the display turns off after 10 m inutes of
user inactivity, and the compu ter goes into Sleep mode after 20 minutes of user inactivity. When
going into Sleep mode, the co mputer also reduces the speed of any active Ethernet network
links. To “wake” the computer from Sleep mode, press the Suspend/Resume Button.

equipment – saving half in utility costs. But more than that, ENERG Y STAR also makes a difference
for the environment. Did you know that the a verage house can be responsible for twice the
greenhouse gas emissions as the average ca r? Tha t’s because every time you Àip on a light
switch, run yo ur dishwasher, or turn on y our PC, you use energy, which means more greenhouse
gas emissions from power p lants. So the more energy w e can save through energy ef¿ciency,
the more we help to reduce greenhouse gases and the risks of global warming.
