If a fault occurs, try to correct it as described. If you fail to correct the problem, proceed as follows:
► Make a note of the steps and the circumstances that le d to t he fault. Also
make a note of any error messages displayed.
► Switch the notebook off.

Before you place the call, have the following information ready so that the c ustomer
support representative can provide you with the fastest possible solution:
• The model name and serial number of the noteb ook. The serial number is
located on a s ticker on the underside of the notebook.
• Notes with the mess
ages that appeared on th e screen and
informationonaco
ustic s ignals.
• Any changes you have made to the hardware or software since
receiving the notebook.
• Any changes you h
ave made to the BIOS Setup settings after receiving the notebook.
• Your system configuration an d all peripheral devices connected to your system.
• Your sales cont
ract.
Our notebooks have been designed primarily with mobile applications in mind.
This means that considerable effort has been made to optimize components and
equipment in terms of weight, space and energy req uirements. Depending on the
particular configuration you have purchased, it is possible that functionality may be
slightly reduced compared to a desktop PC if you are ru nnin g processor-intensive
gaming softw are, e.g. games with intensive 3D graphics. Updating your hardwa re with
drivers which have not been approved by Fujitsu may result in performance losses,
data losses or malfunction of the equipment. A list of approve d drivers and current

Help if problems occur
Should you encounter a problem with your computer that you c anno t r eso lve yourself:
► Note the ID nu m ber of your device. The ID number is found on the type rating
plate on the back or underside of the casing.
► For further clarification of the problem, contact the Fujitsu Service Desk. When you do
this, please have ready the ID number a nd serial number of your system.
