Connecting external devices
USB port with charging function (USB Type-C)
USBportwithchargingfunction(USBType-C)
This USB port allows yo u to operate and charge the notebook using the optional
dock (see "
Connect the notebook to the dock", Page 40).
You c an also charge a connected USB device or operate devices without an additional powe r supply.
This is also possible with the notebook switched off, if the USB Type-C Power Delivery
on System-Off function is activated in th e Advanced - Miscellaneous Configura tions menu
of the BIOS Setup Utility. Ca lling up and using the BIOS Setup Utility is described
in section "
Settings in BIOS Setup Utility", Page 55.
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect the
cables of USB devices while the ope rating system is running.
