Replacing the Power Supply (SR1630GPRX)
Caution: The power supply is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply,
you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
You can replace the power supply if it fails or if one of the integrated fans in it fails. To
replace the power supply, use the following instructions.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety
Information”.
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Server
System Cover”.
4. Disconnect all power cables connected to the server board and peripherals. See
Figure 60:
A: 2x4 power connector
B: 2x12 main power connector
C: HDD1 power connector, if a hard drive is installed here
D: HDD0 power connector, if a hard drive is installed here
E: Optical drive power connector, if an optical drive is installed
