Removing a Slimline Optical Drive (SR1630HGPRX)
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety
Information”.
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Server
System Cover”.
4. Remove the screws holding the drive in place (see letters “A” and “B” in Figure 45)
and slide the optical drive assembly out through the front of the chassis (see letter
“C” in Figure 45).

5. Remove the optical drive attachment bracket as shown in Figure 46.
