3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Server
System Cover”.
4. First time installation only: Remove the peripheral knock-out by rocking it back
and forth.
5. Attach the optical drive attachment bracket as shown in Figure 43.

6. Slide the optical drive assembly in through the front of the chassis (see letter “A” in
Figure 44).
7. Install the screws to lock the drive in place (see letters “B” and “C” in Figure 44).
