Replacing the Power Supply (SR1630HGPRX)

Caution: The power supply is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply,

you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to

the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power

cord from the system or wall outlet.

You can replace the power supply if it fails or if one of the integrated fans in it fails. To

replace the power supply, use the following instructions.

1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety

Information”.

2. Remove the screw at the back of the server system, next to the AC power input.

Save this screw. You will re-insert it later.

3. Disconnect all power cables connected to the server board and peripherals.

4. Remove both the screws and lift up the power supply. See letter "B" in Figure 64.
