Appendix A: Integration and Usage Tips

This section provides a list of useful information unique to the Intel

Server System SR1630BC

that you should keep in mind while integrating the server system.

 The Intel

Server System SR1630BC requires the use of a shielded LAN cable to

comply with Immunity regulatory requirements.

 Intel

Remote Management Module 3 is not supported the Intel

Server System

SR1630BC.

 The Intel

Server system SR1630BC supports one riser card that supports one low-

profile half-length PCI Express* x8 add-in card which consumes power less than 15 W.

 Processor fans are not needed and are not supported. The system fan module provides

the necessary cooling needed for the system.

 You must use the system air duct to maintain system thermals.

 System fans are not hot-swappable.

 A screw on the front edge of the top cover is required when the unit is installed in a user-

accessible environment.

 The FRUSDR utility must be run to load the proper sensor data records for the server

chassis onto the server board.

 Make sure the latest system software is loaded. This includes the system BMC firmware,

FRUSDR, and BIOS. You can download the latest system software from:
