2.5.4.7 AC Line Fast Transient (EFT) Specification
The power supply meets the EN 61000-4-5 directive and any additional requirements in
IEC1000-4-5:1995 and the Level 3 requirements for surge-withstand capability with the following
conditions and exceptions:
These input transients do not cause any out-of-regulation conditions, such as overshoot
and undershoot, nor do they cause any nuisance trips of any of the power supply
protection circuits.
The surge-withstand test does not produce damage to the power supply.
The power supply meets surge-withstand test conditions under maximum and minimum
DC-output load conditions.
2.5.4.8 AC Line Leakage Current
The maximum leakage current to ground for each power supply is 3.5 mA when tested at 240
VAC.
2.5.5 DC Output Specifications
2.5.5.1 Grounding
The ground of the pins of the power supply output connector provides the power return path.
The output connector ground pins are connected to the safety ground (power supply enclosure).
This grounding is well designed to ensure passing the max allowed Common Mode Noise
levels.
The power supply is provided with a reliable protective earth ground. All secondary circuits are
connected to protective earth ground. Resistance of the ground returns to chassis does not
exceed 1.0 mΩ. This path may be used to carry DC current.
2.5.5.2 Standby Output
The 5 VSB output is present when an AC input greater than the power supply turn-on voltage is
applied.
2.5.5.3 Remote Sense
The power supply uses remote sense to regulate out drops in the system for the +3.3V. The
power supply must operate within specification over the full range of voltage drops from the
power supply’s output connector to the remote sense points.
