Passive Heat Sink Cooling
Unless otherwise indicated in the server board manuals, you should use processors with
passive heat sinks should be used in the Intel

Server Chassis SC5600LX. The ducting shown
(Figure 15) is designed to work with the passive heat sink. The Intel
®
Server Chassis SC5600LX
does not include processor heat sinks.
The passive processor heat sink solution used for the Intel
®
Server Chassis SC5600LX is
provided with the tower heat sink accessory FXXRGTHSINK. Air flows through the system from
front to back. Please refer to the Service Guide or Quick Start User’s Guide of the compatible
server boards for heat sink installation.
