2. Remove the filler panel from the selected add-in card slot (see letter “A” in
Figure 31).
3. Remove the screw (see letter “B” in Figure 31).
4. Insert add-in card until it seats in riser card connector (see letter “C” in Figure 31).
5. Secure the add-in card with screw (see letter “D” in Figure 31).

6. Install the PCI riser assembly into the server system. For instructions, see
“Installing the PCI Riser Assembly” on page 44.
Removing a PCI Add-in Card
To remove the PCI add-in card, follow these steps:
1. Remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see “Removing the PCI Riser
Assembly” on page 43.
2. Remove the screw securing the add-in card to the add-in card slot (see letter “A” in
Figure 32) .
3. Remove the PCI add-in card from the riser card connector (see letter “B” in
Figure 32).
