3. Connect all the power cables coming from the power supply to the server board.

4. Install memory. For instructions, see “Installing DIMMs” on page 48.

5. Install processor(s). For instructions, see “Installing the Processor” on page 49

6. Install processor heatsink(s). For instructions, see “Installing the Heatsink” on

page 52.

7. Install the system fan assembly. For instructions, see “Installing the System Fan

Assembly” on page 91.

8. Hot-swap hard drive systems only: Install the bridge board. For instructions, see

step 7 in “Installing the Backplane Board” on page 77.

9. Hot-swap hard drive systems with passive backplane only: Connect the hard

drive SATA cables from the backplane to the server board.

10. Install the blue air baffle. For instructions, see “Installing the Small Air Baffle” on

page 56.

11. If necessary, install the I/O expansion module. For instructions, see “Installing the

I/O Expansion Module” on page 68.
