Installing the Fan Baffle

To install the fan baffle, follows these steps:

1. Lower the baffle into the server system and position the baffle into the slot between

fans 3 and 5 (to the left of the bridge board) and the backplane (see letter “A” in

Figure 52).

Orient the baffle such that the foam edges of the baffle contact the backplane and

the bottom of the chassis.

2. Slide the baffle in the direction shown (see letter “B” in Figure 52).

3. Install the baffle making sure the hook on the front of the baffle is inserted into the

corresponding hole in the backplane board (see letter “C” in Figure 52 - the arrow

is pointing to the hole in the backplane board).
