Installing the Server Board
To install the server board, follow these steps:
1. Place the server board into the server system (see letter “A” in Figure 110).
2. Attach the server board with nine screws (see letter “B” in Figure 110).

3. Connect all power cables to the server board.
4. Install memory. For instructions, see “Installing DIMMs” on page 57.
5. Install the processor(s). For instructions, see “Installing the Processor” on page 60.
6. Install processor heatsink(s). For instructions, see “Installing the Heatsink” on
page 62.
7. Install the fan module assembly. For instructions, see “Replacing a Fan Module” on
page 128.
8. Install the large air baffle. For instructions, see “Installing the Large Air Baffle” on
page 70.
9. Install the bridge board. For instructions, see step 6 in “Installing the Midplane
Board” on page 105.
