Replacing the Front Panel Board
Your workstation system must be operated with a front panel board installed.
CAUTION
The front panel board is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the front panel board, you must
first take the workstation out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the
system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or wall outlet.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions listed in Appendix A, “Safety Information”.
2. Power down the workstation and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the left side cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Left Side Cover”.
4. Remove the front bezel assembly if it is installed. For instructions, see “Removing the Front Bezel
Assembly”.
5. Remove the two screws (see letter “A” in the following figure”) securing the right side cover to the chassis.
Lift the right side cover off the chassis.

6. Remove the three screws securing the front panel board to the chassis.
