5. Peripheral Drive Support
The system provides a slim-line drive bay that can populate with a SATA optical drive (CD-
ROM, DVD, and DVD/CD-R). The drive is mounted on a tool-less tray, which allows for easy
installation into and removal from the system. The slim-line device is not hot-swappable. It is
recommended to use Intel
®
validated optical drive.

The drive is directly connected to a SATA cable and a SATA power cable. The other end of
the SATA cable is connected to one SATA port on the server board.
