System ready, but degraded: redundancy lost such
as the power supply or fan failure; non-critical
temp/voltage threshold; battery failure; or predictive
power supply failure.
Amber On Critical Alarm: Critical power modules failure, critical
fans failure, voltage (power supply), critical
temperature and voltage

power module failure, non-critical temperature and
voltage

Off
AC power off: System unplugged AC power on:
System powered off and in standby, no prior
degraded\non-critical\critical state
Notes:
Blink rate is ~1 Hz at 50% duty cycle.
It is also off when the system is powered off (S5) or in a sleep state (S1).
The power LED sleep indication is maintained on standby by the chipset. If the system is powered down without
going through the BIOS, the LED state in effect at the time of power off is restored when the system is powered
on until the BIOS clear it.
If the system is not powered down normally, it is possible the Power LED will blink at the same time the system
status LED is off due to a failure or configuration change that prevents the BIOS from running.

Description
Power Off
Non-ACPI
Off
System power is off and the BIOS has not initialized the chipset.
Power On Non-ACPI Solid On System power is on but the BIOS has not yet initialized the
chipset.
S5
ACPI
Off
Mechanical is off and the operating system has not saved any
context to the hard disk.
S1 Sleep ACPI Blink DC power is still on. The operating system has saved context and
gone into a level of low-power state.
S0
ACPI
Solid On
System and the operating system are up and running.
