The LAN board portion of the AXXRMM2 Remote Management Module

may have a rubber bumper that is an incorrect size.

Description

Intel discovered a manufacturing defect in which the rubber bumper that fits on the LAN board of the Remote

Management Module 2 (RMM2) is greater than the required 2.5mm thickness.

If the affected LAN board is installed, the RMM2 may become dislodged from the connector in the system. Only

customers using the SR1500AL, SR1550AL or SR1560SF systems will be impacted by this issue due to the position of

the installed RMM2.

A total of 113 units from 2 different batch numbers have shipped with the incorrect bumper. The batch number may be

found on the carton’s label. The affected batch numbers are:

Corrective Action / Resolution Customers with product affected by this issue should use their normal warranty replacement process to get replacement boards. Please contact your Intel Representative indicating that you are referring to TA # 938-01 to RMA only the affected units. Have the MM number available which is MM # 894383.
