6.3.3.5 Hot-Swap SATA/SAS Drive Connectors
The backplanes provide three hot-swap SATA/SAS connectors, which provide power and
signals using a single docking connector. Each drive attaches to the backplane using one of
these connectors.

6.3.3.6 SATA/SAS Drive Control Connectors (Passive Backplane Only)
The passive backplane includes three drive control connectors. These are used to attach
SATA/SAS cables from the backplane to either the SATA ports on the server board, or to
SAS/SATA ports from an add-in card. Each drive control connector has the following pin-out.
