3. Software

3.1 Software Architecture Overfiew

The software stack described below is referred to as the SAS Software Stack and is planned for

use with the current SAS RAID controllers and future RAID controllers that are compatible with

SAS and SATA technology. This software stack includes software pieces used in RAID

controller firmware, RAID controller BIOS, and RAID controller drivers and utilities. The graphic

below shows the inter-relationship of these software pieces.
