Description
Intel has discovered an issue with the server products listed above which fail to boot with the recently launched Intel
®
Pentium
®
processor(s) G3430, G3420, G3220. The affected PBA part numbers of the server board are G62252-305 and
G62253-305.
Root Cause
The issue has been root caused to an incompatibility issue between the BIOS release R1.01.0006 which is programmed
on the server boards with the above mentioned PBA numbers and Intel
®
Pentium
®
processor(s) G3430, G3420, G3220.
Corrective Action / Resolution
Intel is releasing a new BIOS R1.03.0004 to resolve this issue. The system software update package, including release
notes for each, will be available for download from Intel's support website on1

September 2013. .
Workarounds
Customers can boot their system using Intel
®
Xeon
®
processor E3-1200 V3 series and update the server board’s
software to BIOS 1.03.0004, BMC 1.08.5091 and FRUSDR 1.05 or later versions to enable the Intel
®
Pentium
®
processor(s) G3430, G3420, G3220.
