2.3.7 LEDs

LED1 (CRB3) - Port-Fault/Activity: (Blinks Green for SAS activity, solid yellow for faulty link) The

Activity and Fault LED’s are a combination of the controller’s indicators. The Fault and Activity

LED’s (single instance of each) will come from the controller (new functionality) and will

represent the external x4 connection (grouping is under control of Manufacturing Data).

LED2 (CRB4) – Same as LED1 except this shows activity on the other internal x4 connection.

LED3 (CR1) - Blinks Green for Firmware heartbeat. Blinking indicates the card is capable of

general activity. All LED’s need an appropriate stencil for Heartbeat, External, Internal.

Note that the Activity and Link-Not-Present (Fault) LEDs per SAS lane are not possible when

the new controller feature is enabled. 4-pin header for internal connection of Activity LED’s
