Also, the user should be aware that most changes require a reboot to become active. If changes
have been made and saved, without exiting Setup, the system should be rebooted later even if no
additional changes are made.
4. Discard Changes
Option Values: <None>
Help Text:
Discard Changes made so far to any of the setup options.
Comments: Selection only. Position to this line and press the <Enter> key to discard
any pending unsaved changes in BIOS settings. If there have been no changes made in the
settings, the BIOS will resume executing POST.
If changes have been made in BIOS settings and not yet saved, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
If the “Discard Changes” action is positively confirmed, all pending changes will be discarded
and BIOS will resume executing POST. If the “Discard Changes” action is not confirmed, BIOS
will resume executing Setup without discarding pending changes.
5. Load Default Values

Help Text:
Load Defaults Values for all the setup options.
Comments: Selection only. Position to this line and press the <Enter> key to load
default values for all BIOS settings. These are the initial factory settings (“failsafe” settings) for
all BIOS parameters.
There will be a confirmation popup to verify that the user really meant to take this action.
After initializing all BIOS settings to default values, the BIOS will resume executing Setup, so
the user may made additional changes in the BIOS settings if necessary (for example, Boot Order)
before doing a “Save Changes and Exit” with a reboot to make the default settings take effect,
including any changes made after loading the defaults.
The <F9> function key may also be used from anyplace in Setup to initiate a “Load Default
Values” action.
6. Save as User Default Values

Save the changes made so far as User Default Values.
