Windows Server 2008* R2 installation on Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2
processor based server boards may fail with an accessory 2U PCI-X riser
A2ULPCIXRISER installed.
Problem The system may not be able to install Windows Server 2008* R2 with below
configurations:
1. An Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v2 processor is installed.
2. A 2U PCI-X riser A2ULPCIXRISER is installed.
Implication Users may not be able to install Windows Server 2008* R2 with mentioned
configurations.
Status This issue will not be fixed.
Workaround None.

System will hang during POST if two CPUs are mismatched.
Problem If two CPUs are mismatched with different model, cache size, frequency or
stepping, the server system may hang during POST, and the status LED may
still show green color and the system diagnostic LED shows 0xDC code.
Implication The server system cannot boot up, and the status LED may not be changed
from green to amber color.
Status This issue will not be fixed.
Workaround Customer should use the same two CPUs on the server system, and verify the
CPU model, cache size, frequency and stepping before installing them.
