Console
Redirection
Disabled
Serial Port A
Console redirection allows a serial port to
be used for server management tasks.
[Disabled] - No console redirection.
[Serial Port A] - Configure serial port A for
console redirection.
Enabling this option disables the display of
the Quiet Boot logo screen during POST.
Serial Console Redirection can use
Serial Port A. If SOL is also going to
be configured, note that SOL is only
supported through Serial Port A.
When Console Redirection is set to
Disabled, all other options on this
screen will be grayed out and
unavailable.
Only Serial Ports which are Enabled
should be available to choose for
Console Redirection. If Serial A is
set to Enabled, then Console
Redirection will be forced to
Disabled, and grayed out as
inactive. In that case, all other
options on this screen will also be
grayed.
