The server board provides support for a mSATA SSD storage device.

The mSATA storage device plugs in to a 52-pin PCIe mini-connector on the server labeled “mSATA SSD”.
mSATA SSD features include:
• Capacities ranging from 40GB to 128GB
• Small foot print
• Low power

3.3.5 Chipset Embedded SCU SATA/SAS Controller
Embedded into the Intel
®
C602 chipset is a multi-port SAS Controller Unit (SCU), capable of supporting up to
eight 3 Gb/sec SAS or SATA devices. On the server board, the SCU ports are routed to two multiport mini-SAS
connectors: SCU_0 and SCU_1.
