The Upper Address Bound is compared with
16:10 of the incoming address determine the
upper 1KB aligned value of the Protected
Region.
Upper 4 bits are unused by HW. For address
comparison purposes, lower address bits[9:0]
of incoming address is assumed to be all 1’s.
So, incoming address is checked for less
than or equal to this field.

The Lower Address Bound is compared with
16:10 of the incoming address determine the
lower 1KB aligned value of the Protected
Region.

comparison purposes, lower address bits[9:0]
of incoming address is assumed to be all 0’s.
So, incoming address is checked for greater
than or equal to this field.
