6.2.1.1 Processor Case Temperature Measurement
The maximum and minimum case temperature (T

) for the Pentium 4 processor is specified in
Table 33. This temperature specification is meant to ensure correct and reliable operation of the
processor. Figure 24 illustrates where Intel recommends that T
CASE
thermal measurements should
be made. Figures 25 and 26 illustrate two possible measuring techniques. Refer to the Intel
