Specification Update for the Intel® Desktop Board DH55HC This document is an update to the specifications contained in the Intel® Desktop Board DH55HC Technical Product Specification (Order Number: E82983). It is intended for hardware system manufacturers and software developers of applications, operating systems, or tools. It will contain Specification Changes, Errata, Specification Clarifications, and Documentation Changes.
Terminology Specification Changes are modifications to the current published specifications. These changes will be incorporated in the next release of the specifications. Errata are design defects or errors. Characterized errata may cause the desktop board behavior to deviate from published specifications.
Summary of Changes The following table indicates the Specification Changes, Errata, Specification Clarifications, or Documentation Changes that apply to the Intel® Desktop Board DH55HC. Intel intends to fix some of the errata in a future revision of the desktop board, and to account for the other outstanding issues through documentation or specification changes as noted. 2.2.2.6 Front Panel USB Headers Figure 12 is a connection diagram for the front panel USB headers. NOTES • • • The +5 V DC power on the USB headers is fused. Use only a front panel USB connector that conforms to the USB 2.0 specification for high-speed USB devices. USB Header 2 (FP USB 2) has Pin 10 routed to the HDD LED to support specific USB SSD devices. Connecting any device to this header, that has any connection to Pin 10, may cause the HDD LED to behave erratically or stay on continuously.
