Legacy Input/Output (I/O) Controller
The legacy I/O controller provides the following legacy features:
One parallel port via an onboard header
Four serial ports: two via onboard headers and two via back panel connectors
Intelligent power management, including a programmable wake-up event interface
Low pin count (LPC) interface
PCI power management support
The BIOS Setup program provides configuration options for the Legacy I/O Controller.
Dual LAN Subsystem
The LAN subsystem consists of the following:
Intel NM10 Express Chipset
Two Intel 82574L Gigabit Ethernet Controllers for 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet LAN
connectivity
Two RJ-45 LAN connectors with integrated status LEDs
Additional features of the LAN subsystem include:
CSMA/CD protocol engine
LAN connect interface that supports the Ethernet controller
Conventional PCI bus power management
Supports ACPI technology
Supports LAN wake capabilities
LAN drivers are available from Intel’s World Wide Web site at
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Two LEDs are built into the RJ-45 LAN connector located on the back panel (see
Figure 4). These LEDs indicate the operating states of the LAN.
