1.11.3 Alert Standard Format (ASF) Support
The boards provide the following ASF support for PCI Express x1 bus add-in LAN cards and PCI
Conventional bus add-in LAN cards installed in PCI Conventional bus slot 2:
• Monitoring of system firmware progress events, including:
BIOS present
Primary processor initialization
Memory initialization
Video initialization
PCI resource configuration
Hard-disk initialization
User authentication
Starting operating system boot process
• Monitoring of system firmware error events, including:
Memory missing
Memory failure
No video device
Keyboard failure
Hard-disk failure
No boot media
• Boot options to boot from different types of boot devices
• Reset, shutdown, power cycle, and power up options

Wireless Connect Technology (Optional)
Intel Wireless Connect Technology is available for Intel 82801FBW (ICH6W) based SKUs that use
an Intel
®
PRO/Wireless 2225BG add-in card. Intel Wireless Connect Technology enables any
desktop PC to join a wireless network or provide wireless Access Point services to a home or small
office network through a wireless configuration wizard. Intel Wireless Connect Technology
features the following:
• Wireless LAN protocols 802.11 b, g
• 11 Mbps performance with 802.11b
• 54 Mbps performance with 802.11g
• WEP, WPA (TKIP/802.1x), and MAC Address filtering for security
• Wi-Fi and WHQL certified
• Integrated Access Point that can support up to 16 clients
