Pen settings
You can change pen related settings in Windows Settings and Lenovo Pen Settings.

Windows Settings
• Show or hide cursor for the pen
• Set the font size and family for handwriting
• Improve handwriting recognition
Note:
This function is not supported by all languages.
Lenovo Pen Settings
• View the battery status of the pen
• Change functions for the top and bottom buttons
• Enable or disable near-screen click for the top and
bottom buttons
• Set pen tip sensitivity
Open Pen & Windows Ink in Windows Settings
Step 1. In Windows 10, select Start ➙ Settings.
Step 2. Select Devices ➙ Settings ➙ Pen & Windows Ink.
Open Lenovo Pen Settings
Step 1. In Windows 10 search box, enter Lenovo Pen Settings.
Step 2. Select the matched result.
Enable near-screen click for pen buttons
You can enable near-screen click for the pen’s top and bottom buttons so that they can work like the left and
right buttons of a mouse.

Step 1. Start Lenovo Pen Settings.
Step 2. Set the function for Top Barrel Button to Barrel Button and set Hover Click to On.
Step 3. Set the function for Bottom Barrel Button to Erase and set Hover Click to On.
After near-screen click is enabled, you may use the pen buttons like you would the left and right buttons on a
mouse.
Note: To use near-screen click function, the pen tip should be placed near the computer screen, within 1
cm. You may set Windows Settings to show pen cursor so that you know whether the pen is placed near
enough.
