BIS™ Advance Monitor
ASYM (Asymmetry) The difference in EEG power between the left and
right hemispheres of the brain over time.
ASYM is displayed as a value between 20% and
100%. It represents the ratio of EEG power present
in one hemisphere to the total EEG power (total
power = left power + right power).
ASYM is displayed only during four-channel
monitoring.
