Thisactionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Staticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
ToreplacethewirelessWANcard,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffyourcomputeranddisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.
2.Disablethebuilt-inbattery.See“Disablingthebuilt-inbattery”onpage119.
3.Closethecomputerdisplayandturnthecomputerover.
4.Removethebasecoverassembly.See“Replacingthebasecoverassembly”onpage123.
5.AtoolmightbeprovidedwiththenewwirelessWANcardtohelpyoudisconnectcablesfromthe
wirelessWANcard.Ifnosuchatoolisprovided,holdthecableconnectorwithyourfingersandgently
disconnecteachcablefromthewirelessWANcard.
6.Removethescrew.ThewirelessWANcardisreleasedfromthesecuredpositionandpivotsupward.
Thenremovethecard.
7.AlignthecontactedgeofthenewwirelessWANcardwiththekeyintheslot.Thencarefullyinsertthe
newwirelessWANcardintotheslot.Theninstallthescrewtosecurethecard.
