Connectinganexternaldisplay
Youcanuseeitherawireddisplayorawirelessdisplay.ThewireddisplaycanbeconnectedtotheHDMI,
VGA,orminiDisplayPortconnectorbyacable.ThewirelessdisplaycanbeaddedthroughtheWi-Dior
Miracastfunction.
•Connectingawireddisplay
Note:Whenyouconnectanexternalmonitor,avideointerfacecablewithaferritecoreisrequired.
1.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanappropriatevideoconnectoronyourcomputer,suchastheVGA
connector,miniDisplayPortconnector,orHDMIconnector.
2.Connecttheexternaldisplaytoanelectricaloutlet.
3.Turnontheexternaldisplay.
Ifyourcomputercannotdetecttheexternaldisplay,right-clickonthedesktop,thenclickScreen
resolution➙Detect.
•Connectingawirelessdisplay
Note:Touseawirelessdisplay,ensurethatbothyourcomputerandtheexternaldisplaysupportthe
Wi-DiorMiracastfeature.

Choosingadisplaymode
Youcandisplayyourdesktopandappsonthecomputerdisplay,theexternaldisplay,orboth.Tochoose
howtodisplaythevideooutput,pressthedisplay-modeswitchingkeyandthenselectadisplay
modeyouprefer.
Therearefourdisplaymodes:
•Disconnect:Displaysthevideooutputonlyonyourcomputerscreen.
Note:Dependingonthesituation,youmightseeDisconnect,PCscreenonly,Computeronly,or
Disconnectprojector.
•Duplicate:Displaysthesamevideooutputonbothyourcomputerscreenandanexternaldisplay.
•Extend:Extendsthevideooutputfromyourcomputerdisplaytoanexternaldisplay.Youcandragand
moveitemsbetweenthetwodisplays.
•Projectoronly:Showsthevideooutputonlyonanexternaldisplay.
Note:Dependingonthesituation,youmightseeProjectoronlyorSecondscreenonly.
