Pod Shut-O
Warning: You must use the Omnipod 5 App within 15 minutes of the onset
of the Pod Shut-O advisory alarm. If you do not respond to this alarm
within this time, the Omnipod 5 App and Pod sound a hazard alarm and
your Pod stops delivering insulin which can lead to hyperglycemia.
If the Pod Shut-O feature is ON, the Pod automatically deactivates if you do
not use the Omnipod 5 App within the dened time. Consult your healthcare
provider prior to changing the Pod Shut-O setting.
To enable or disable Pod Shut-O:
1. Navigate to: Menu button ( ) > Settings > Reminders > Pod Shut-O.
2. Tap the Pod Shut-O toggle to enable or disable the Pod Shut-O feature.
3. If Pod Shut-O is enabled, tap the Inactivity Timer eld and select the length
of time for the countdown timer. is setting can range from 1 to 24 hours.
Example: If you choose 10 hours, you must wake up your Omnipod 5 App
and unlock it at least once every 10 hours, day and night, to prevent the Pod
Shut-O alarm.
4. Tap SAVE.
Condence Reminders
When condence reminders are ON, you will hear a tone at the start and end of
each bolus, extended bolus, or temp basal:
• e Omnipod 5 App beeps at the start.
• e Pod beeps at the end.
Condence reminders are especially useful when you are getting familiar with
your Omnipod 5 System and want additional conrmation that an insulin
delivery command went through. To turn condence reminders ON or OFF:
1. Navigate to: Menu button ( ) > Settings > Reminders.
2. Tap the Condence Reminders toggle to turn condence reminders ON or
OFF.
Note: You cannot turn OFF beeps that occur at the start of a temp basal set to
deliver no (zero) insulin.
