Unplug your cooker and let it cool to room temperature before cleaning.

Without proper cleaning,
food may build up around
the steam release.
If you smell smoke, press Cancel and unplug
the appliance. Once cool, remove the inner
pot and check for foreign objects between the
inner pot and heating element.
