Finding a suitable location
• Position the refrigerator away from heat and direct sunlight. For the best
performance, install in areas with an ambient temperature between 50° F
(10° C) and 110° F (43° C).
• To prevent rust and to protect the electrical insulation, do not place the
refrigerator in moist areas.
• Place your refrigerator in a well-ventilated indoor location. Leave at least 11.8
in. (30 cm) of space above and at least 3.9 in. (10 cm) behind and beside the
refrigerator for heat dissipation.
• Make sure that the floor is flat and strong enough to support the refrigerator
when fully loaded.
• Leave enough space to open the refrigerator’s doors and drawers.
Leveling your refrigerator
• It is very important for the refrigerator to be level. If the refrigerator is not
leveled during installation, the doors may not close or seal properly, causing
cooling, frost, or moisture problems.
• To level your refrigerator, rotate the front leveling feet clockwise (to raise) the
refrigerator or counter-clockwise (to lower).
Note: Having someone push against the top of the refrigerator helps to take some weight
off the leveling foot, making it easier to adjust.
