Finding a suitable location
• Place your refrigerator on a floor that’s strong enough to support your
refrigerator when it is fully loaded.
• Allow at least 7 15/16 in. (20.1 cm) of space between the sides of your
refrigerator and any surrounding walls, and allow at least 3 15/16 in. (10 cm)
between the back of your refrigerator and the wall. Allow at least 11 13/16 in.
(30 cm) between the top of your refrigerator and any cabinet. This allows for
the correct air ventilation.
• Do not install your refrigerator on carpeting or a rug.
• Do not install your refrigerator in a garage or other outside location.
• Locate your refrigerator away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove,
heater, radiator, and so on). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and
heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Ambient temperature
below 50° F (10° C) or above 109° F (43° C) hinders the performance of your
refrigerator.
• Avoid locating your refrigerator in moist areas.
CAUTION: Your refrigerator is not designed for a recessed installation.
